Einstein had his Own Musings

Even my dog knew better. RIP Starsky!

In the words of the title, I’m meaning to say: most of Einstein’s work. I can imagine that, riding the bus one day he had a thought – a kind of whimsical one. I see him thinking, “I wonder if I can make them believe this is true?” Just for fun.

Reading a book by Joao Magueijo, I discover that a number of physic’s greatest “theories” are supported by circular arguments, where ultimately the argument for the theory is the summary result of the theory itself: In other words, totally invalid. Quantum mechanics seems to be magnificently corrupt. Any theory that goes against the dogma crafted (and then immortalized) from an old physicist’s bus-ride musings – is given a sneer at best, and outright hostility at worst.  Mr. Magueijo had a dickens of a time convincing the journals to consider new theories.

They say it’s science, but I no longer follow the herd for my “science.” It seems contrived and corrupt. Maybe it’s that the journal editors are just lazy, but the more likely reason is that every one of them has a finger in a hull hole, and if any of them jumps ship, the whole thing will join the Titanic.

Take quantum entanglement as an example.  The argument made by mainstream science is that a signal for the entanglement has not been detected (except within the connected atoms/photons/molecules themselves), and therefore the signal is transported via a nebulous “parallel universe” – or is a projection of a single photon to what seems to be another place, but isn’t, due to its being a result of interaction with some random – let’s say tenth – dimension).  You may as well add little green aliens to this story.

To their credit, they attribute their ideas about how entangled objects are connected to a thing they call “the interpretations” – so they at least allow for some discredit of themselves.  In other words, they don’t know and don’t want to look for the answer.  Some hole in the hull might be exposed otherwise. So, damn it, I’m looking for that answer, and I think I’ve probably found it.  Dang!
